I participated in a number of Acea's Plyo Power classes over the course of two years. The moves utilized in this workout helped me progress my fitness level greatly. I like to push myself so, I am feeling muscles I haven't felt in awhile. Myself in particular have played high level volleyball for most of my life and felt the muscle soreness that I used to feel after a long grueling match. I started taking the class at a gym in the north end of Boston approximately 5 years ago. The classroom was small and packed with really in-shape-people (both guys and girls). At first it was a bit intimidating to go into the class because these were not your typical class-takers. These people were serious about this class & had all been taking it for a while - you actually had to sign up far in advance to even secure a position in the classroom. But right on the first day Acea made sure that I felt welcomed & he gave me the attention/guidance to make sure that I was able to complete the routine because as he said he wanted everyone to come back! The class was immediately addictive. People clapped, hollered, and worked up HUGE sweats!

I came back every week & worked up to 2x/week. I felt like if I did that class I really didn't even need to do anything else. It worked my entire body. Legs, arms etc. I did that class every week & when I got married a few years later I was in the best shape of my life!

When Acea moved to another gym across town, I had to follow. I canceled one membership & joined at his new gym so that I could continue taking his class.

Acea makes it a point to make everyone feel welcome. He pushes you in a way that you believe you can do anything. Often I would feel as if there was no way I would be able to make it through the entire class after just 10 minutes, but because of the set-up of the class and Acea's encouragement I never left a class early. He makes sure that everyone takes it at their own pace, does the exercises correctly and all this while making the class feel cohesive.

I was introduced to Plyo PowerŪ through two of my good friends, one who also did personal training with Acea. I started taking Plyo and was instantly addicted after surviving the first week. You discover muscles you never thought you had or could utilize. It's such an exhilarating and fun class and extremely challenging. You're always challenged which I find to be very important! I've never been in the best shape after consistently doing his class. His classes were always packed and had Plyo junkies, but new people were always welcome. Acea made sure everyone felt welcome in his class.

Plyo Power is the best workout class I have taken and I've taken many. When Acea switched to another gym in Boston, I was very sad and then I moved to NY. Now that I've lived in NY for awhile nothing has compared to his class. His class combined cardio, overall toning focusing on glutes, quads and overall legs and core. You will be in the best shape after attending his classes and fall in love with Plyo PowerŪ.

Acea was also my trainer and an excellent one at that. I hope he brings Plyo PowerŪ to NY and continues in Boston. It's a kick ass workout that no one else has been able to achieve. I took my first Plyo PowerŪ Class during my first week of employment at the BAC almost 3 years ago. A group exercise class fanatic, I had tried numerous styles of cardio, weight lifting, yoga, pilates, etc classes before and was excited for something new.

From the second Acea stood smiling from ear to ear in front of the class of people, I knew this class was going to be fun. Acea has an amazing way of motivating you to push yourself harder than you thought possible. I found myself pushing myself to keep up with his pace, and working harder than I had in a long time to do so! But I had a smile on my face the whole time. I almost didn't realize how tough the workout was because I was having so much fun! Acea plays great music, interacts with the participants in a motivating and fun way, and has created an AMAZING workout with Plyo PowerŪ.
