Workshop Breakdown of the Day

Why Plyo PowerŪ is different and what are Acea's theories based on?

We now have the information and proven stats that postural disorders and compensations all come into play more frequently because of things like technology, sedentary work and living environments. Unfortunately, most are unaware of this fact and we move and workout with the improper patterns leading first to the body's ability to compensate, then often to plateaus and eventually injury. This is the main reasoning and logical explanation for instructing with a leveling system. This program takes a more functional approach to sports conditioning, building our athleticism from the ground up.

There are still instructors that feel the harder they work not only themselves but there participants, the better the workout! They feel it is normal to encourage, motivate and push ourselves and other exercisers past the point of fatigue(old school drill sergeant method and/or NO PAIN, NO GAIN theory). They tell us to stay with a motion or movement, because the thought is that we just need that extra push to break through that plateau or rut. If we pick up our pace or squeeze out that last repetition, once again we are working harder, instead of smarter. We here at Plyo PowerŪ want to dispel those old school and out dated theories.
